Made famous by the great guitarist, Santana, "Oye Como Va" is a great groove piece and feature for your aspiring percussion students.  This flex arrangement provides you the ability to change certain parts, but requires a nice bass line to remain solid.  The song is a great way to introduce syncopated rhythms and features a lot of repetition in the melodic parts.  

A great piece to introduce your students to Latin American/Cuban rhythms and explore the multitude of Latin percussion instruments.  This piece would be perfect for a multi-cultural  curriculum unit as it ties together numerous Latin influences.
